Domestic Affairs **We throughly enjoyed this book. It's a good old fashioned novel, with romance, betrayals, and happy endings. We give it Two Stars.
The Three Tomatoes rating system:
***A must read.
** Enjoyable.
*Only if you have nothing else to read.No stars. Forget about it.
This week's questions:
1. How would you rate the book?
2. Friendships that endure over time are usually tested at some time or another. Abigail's and Lila's friendship was torn apart by a betrayal when they were in their teens. Abigail has harbored resentment toward Lila all her life for that betrayal. Do you think her resentment was justified? Have you ever suffered a betrayal of friendship, and, if so, were you able to let go of the hurt, or, like Abigail, did you nurse the hurt for years? Ultimately, as with Abigail and Lila, did friendship prevail for you?

I would give it **. While it was
a fast read, I thought the plotline was pretty predictable.
And fortunately, no to the 2nd question.
